Why is everyday a celebration..??

May 13 is my Guruji's birthday. He is Sri Sri Ravishankarji. And this is what he told us all -- I am there for you today, I was there yesterday, I will be there tomorrow -- so everyday is a celebration!
Indeed it is so. Is it strange to be saying this?
I mean look at where we are today -- surrounded on all sides by corruption of the most venal kind -- and I'm celebrating?

Yes, I celebrate my power, your power, our power - to question, to fight, to struggle, to change. We have with Anna's kickstart and Guruji's encouragement moved out of our tamasic inertia, to take on the most powerful in the land and in the world -- and we will succeed. No matter what it takes. And we will get to our success dancing.

And here's my take -- there are many facets to corruption and we should not link it solely to money. It is more crucially a matter of attitude.
When my daughter was about 8 years old, she was in this dance class, learning Bharatanatyam. Her classmate was a ten year old, very pretty. This girl was to dance at some corporate function. While the teacher was refining her technique, the child said --- why do all this trouble? I am so pretty and when I am dressed up in my costume, no one will notice my mistakes. So her very attitude spelt "chalta hai" -- minimum effort, big gains.
If we accept all this, why are we surprised by Adarsh, 2G, whatever?
